It’s that time of the year again! Start spending your Saturday afternoons doing art classes at a Kamloops winery. Join visual artist Marc Brzustowski for six classes in seeing and drawing. Each week will feature a different focus as observational and drawing skills are built in a variety of media. Classes will be held indoors until the weather is warmer.
Classes are March 5, 12 & 19 and April 2, 9 & 16 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
Week 1 – negative and positive shapes, line and contour drawing.
Week 2 – value and contrast, subtractive drawing with charcoal.
Week 3 – edge control and depth illusion; overlap, lost and found edges.
Week 4 – colour, value and intensity with oil pastel.
Week 5 – portraits simplified, mapping the face.
Week 6 – still life drawing.
Cost is $40 per session pay-as-you-go. Enroll in all 6 sessions for $200.
